JOINING SCOUTS:
The membership fee for the new Cub Scouts is $25.00 payable when you register.
Cub Scouts participate in a popcorn sale fund raising event in October. Each Scout is required to sell $150.00 in popcorn.
There is a second dues of $70.00 that is due the end of November unless the scout sells $150.00 or more in popcorn. Any additional amount will be credited to the scout's account.
Why Sell Popcorn?
Packs need a secure and stable source of income that a strong popcorn sale can provide. Monies raised by Packs have been used to cover the cost of badges and advancement, special events, and pack and troop equipment.
Packs that are financially sound can spend more time and resources on providing a fun and challenging year-round program.
Out of these funds, the pack pays for:
- Registration fees and insurance for Scouts and adult leaders
- Training for leaders so that we can go on outings and camping
- Advancement patches, pins and other awards for Scouts
- Trophies, ribbons, pinewood derby kits, raingutter regatta kits, firehall sleepover, Guyasuta weekend sleepover and Blue and Gold Banquet supplies
- Copies and general pack supplies
- Blue and Gold Dinner for Scouts
